Welcome Liz!

Elizabeth’s experience spans academic and clinical research, community based research, and patient engagement.  Previously she has been an advisory board member for the Interdisciplinary HIV Pregnancy Research Group (IHPREG), and a national board member of the Canadian Hemophilia Society HIV-Hep C Co-infection committee, CTAC Steering committees, and CANFAR. Elizabeth has two decades of lived experience in the HIV community as a partner of a PLWH.

Elizabeth recently completed her Master of Public Health, including a practicum placement at Realize implementing the PANACHE ON study on the needs of older people living with HIV. She also holds an honors Bachelor of Health Science, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Biology. She is currently a member of the corporate Patient and Family Advisory Council and the Knowledge Translation working group of St. Michael’s Hospital, in Toronto.  Liz joined Realize in November 2019 and will be filling in for Kate Murzin while she is on maternity leave.
