Financial empowerment is a critical area of focus for addressing the systemic inequalities faced by communities impacted by HIV. This study sought to answer questions about the financial empowerment needs of PLWH (aged 50+) in Ontario and whether financial resources, services, and supports are readily available and accessible for this population.

Join us as we discuss the themes which emerged from the study’s focus groups with service providers from community-based HIV organizations across Ontario:

  • Fragmented and Inaccessible Services
  • Gaps in Government Assistance Policy and Eligibility Criteria
  • Stigma, Discrimination and Socio-Economic Barriers
  • Implications of Systemic Service Barriers
