Throughout 2023, we’ve been celebrating our 25th Anniversary here at Realize. You have played an important part in our work fostering positive change for people living with HIV and other episodic disabilities. Thank you.
On the evening of October 13, 2023, we held a party at Ricarda’s Event Space in downtown Toronto to celebrate our journey and the diverse community of people living with HIV and other episodic disabilities, friends, allies, program partners, researchers, and donors who have made it possible. We also honoured this year’s recipients of the Elisse Zack Award for Excellence in HIV and Rehabilitation, Christian Hui and the late Joanne Lindsay.
Over 200 people joined us on the night for conversation, dancing, honouring those who are no longer with us, laughter, new connections and much more. Special thanks to Suzette Vidale, Grandmother Kim Wheatley, Eldeekha and DJ Jade Elektra for their contributions to our special evening. Finally, thanks to WestJet and Caribbean Airlines for their support during our 25th Anniversary.
