The idea for this course came through formal and informal conversations with senior executives who were looking for a space to navigate the unique challenges of living with episodic disabilities while leading an organization.
Living with one or more episodic disabilities presents a host of challenges, including the uncertainty of health management, access to resources, as well as finding and maintaining relationships of trust.
Participants are invited to give time and energy to the modules so to facilitate taking a next step or two along the journey of living and leading with episodic disabilities.
In the second module, participants complete an in-depth personal inventory about their episodic disability, work, and work environment. This comprehensive review is designed to help participants identify challenging life areas and invite personal reflection on options to manage challenges.
Learning Objectives:
- To review the impacts of episodic disabilities on leadership
- To review a common definition of episodic disability
- To examine how to maintain perspective during health fluctuations
- To reflect on what disclosure may mean for participants
